Abstract
These highly personal paintings derive from various origins. Some are the simplified abstracted forms of previous paintings that have been reworked and distilled down to essential component parts. Others are macro close ups of landscape components taken out of context that form an aesthetic combination of shapes, colours and textures that I have been drawn to and inspired by. Others still, are conceptual representations of feelings or predicaments that I hope the title will illuminate if the work itself is not at first comprehensible.
These works carry quite a weight of emotional investment. Its the work I am most proud of and is the hardest to let go of when sold. Few of these works have been exhibited.
