Meadows
Wild flowers are still ‘on the verge’ of further decline; a result of hardscaping, herbicides, monocultures and mowing. These paintings are in celebration of the verges, field margins, lawns, municipal and marginal ground that has been left to flower and set seed through May and June. Its a simple act of rewilding in which lots of people can take put on a small scale.
On the Verge I shows Pink Campion, Common Vetch, Spear Thistle, Red Clover and Grasses.
On the Verge II shows Ox Eye daisy, Buttercup, Field Poppy, Hogweed, White Clover, Docks and Grasses
