Mountain

With mountains in every direction we are spoilt for choice of hills to explore near Inverness. My mountain days are few and far between now so I cherish every day I manage to gain altitude and take in the obscured or breath taking vistas. Views often obliterated by uncompromising weather or glimpsed just briefly mean when the light is good, when the colour and outlines are distilled to clear or abstracted forms, one never forgets them. They are companions in the mind for ever - a source of inspiration and perspective with the potential to change outlooks and horizons.

First exhibited as 'In-Sight: Horizons that Inspire' for the John Muir Trust in Pitlochry 2014, with some images used for their Christmas card series.
