Coastal
Sea conditions differ with seasons, light and time of day. Locally I am fortunate to have the Moray and Cromarty Firth on my doorstep as well as other coasts and islands within striking distance. As a moderately addicted sea swimmer and occasional sea kayaker I keep a keen eye on the sea conditions and get to experience its moods from different angles and stages of immersion. I am forever grateful to have the sea close by to salve my sore body and clear my cluttered mind. Having painted so many coastal works I am keen to move on but I am constantly pulled back by the respect, the power and the magnetism the ocean invokes.
First exhibited as 'Coast' at Nairn Community and Arts Centre 2021 and local smaller galleries.
