Whisky

These artworks explore whisky distilleries from Highland, Speyside and Islay in their landscape and seasonal context. Unusual angles and abstracted formats move compositions beyond conventional depictions. Iconic distillery buildings are set within distinctive landscape patterns and textures. The coastal distilleries offer the additional dimension to compositions of reflection and distortion. It was a fun project to undertake with my tour organiser, partner and kayak lead Nick with plenty of whisky tasting along the way.

First exhibited as 'Distilled Landscapes' at Glenfiddich Distillery Gallery 2019 as part of the Speyside Whisky Festival, then as 'Distilled Landscapes' at Eden Court, Inverness, 2023.
