Weathered

Transformation due to elemental exposure is the inspiration behind these paintings. Faded, cracked or blistered surfaces, reflected in water or modified in other ways, produce textures, patterns and colours that converge and compel. Past use and industrial history adds a further layer of depth and poignancy, obscuring remnant meaning and signposting the past in tantalising ways.
